3D printed wall Sculpture

Inspired on the Mesoamerican myths, I modelled this artistic piece as a modern review of the Mayan calendars, created by this culture thousands of years ago. It mesmerizes me the way their beliefs were built around Sun and Nature worship, recording a trying to predict with advanced systems based on geometrical rules, the movements of the moon stars and planets, for their rituals and their planting and harvesting cycles. As tribute this complex geometrical 3D model was created to be part of a future exhibition in Mexico territory.
